For this project, I explored the theatrical and expressive styling language of John Galliano through a fashion editorial lens. I wanted the final imagery to feel dramatic, fragmented and visually stylised, almost like pages torn from a high fashion magazine. The project focused on combining beauty makeup with composition, texture and storytelling to create something visually striking and emotionally layered.

Design Approach
I began by researching Galliano’s runway work and the way he combines elegance with distortion and drama. What interested me most was how fashion imagery can feel chaotic whilst still remaining beautiful and controlled. I experimented with fragmented image layouts, unusual crops and layered editorial references to create visuals that felt less like traditional beauty photography and more like a conceptual campaign. I wanted the work to feel expressive, stylised and intentionally disruptive.

Application Approach
I created the final makeup using refined editorial skin work, sculptural beauty techniques and carefully placed embellishments including pearl detailing. I focused on making the makeup work as part of the full image composition rather than as a standalone beauty look.Lighting, pose direction and photographic framing all became part of the final outcome, helping me create imagery that felt polished, fashion led and visually cohesive.
