This project explored themes of technology, digital identity and synthetic transformation through a cyber inspired makeup concept. Using ultraviolet reactive materials and monochromatic lighting, I created a futuristic character influenced by coding, artificial intelligence and virtual environments. I wanted the final imagery to feel immersive, unsettling and visually stylised.
Design Approach
I developed the concept around the visuallanguage of code and machine based identity. I experimented with binaryinspired detailing and explored how digital symbolism could be incorporatedinto makeup design without losing its aesthetic quality. The use of greenlighting became central to the concept, helping the work feel heavily connectedto technology, surveillance and digital environments.
Application Approach
I used UV reactive liners, precision detailing and layered monochromatic tones to create the final makeup. Binary inspired elements were carefully placed across the lips, brows and facial structure to reinforce the concept. A major part of the process involved testing how the makeup reacted under green lighting conditions, ensuring the final details remained visible, sharp and visually impactful through photography.
